Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) continue to be a top priority area at REMI. We focus on achieving excellence in occupational and personal health of employees at all manufacturing divisions as well as offices. All safety mechanisms are in place, in case of any emergency.
All employees, irrespective of the nature of their work, are covered under medical insurance. Also a host of welfare measures centered on our employees like hygienic canteen, transport facilities, healthy work environment etc. has helped in maintaining employee welfare thus leading to very low attrition rates.

REMI believes that a clean environment in and around the workplace fosters good health and prosperity for the individual, the group and the larger community to which they belong. Environmental protection is an integral part of the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of all our projects.

REMI complies with all the prescribed statutory norms & standards.

As an industry leader in manufacturing of Blood Banking instruments, we have taken a number of social responsibility initiatives. We have identified and addressed the issues at a national level.

Today, India has an annual requirement of approximately 12 million units of Blood whereas the annual blood donation in India is about 7.5 million units.

The challenge before the Transfusion Services of the country & everybody associated with it is to bridge this gap through

  • Judicious use of blood
  • Mobilizing people & creating awareness about voluntary blood donation

REMI being a leading Indigenous manufacturer of Blood Banking & Laboratory equipments since past 50 years is closely associated with Transfusion Services of the country. We understand these challenges & have contributed by taking initiatives through various campaigns.

India needs young blood donors

Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign:

On 14th June ”Blood Donor Day, every year, REMI collaborates with nearly 250 Blood Banks across the country to educate people & raise awareness about voluntary blood donation. The activities include.

  • Distribution of promotional material on voluntary blood donation. We have been sending posters, key chains with motivational slogans on voluntary blood donation. This year the focus is youth & to attract young generation to come forward for donating blood, we have distributed through various Blood Banks, across the country, specially designed 12,500 caps with attractive slogans on Voluntary Blood Donation.
  • We align with Blood Banks; participate in workshops & voluntary blood donor camps to motivate voluntary blood donors, recognition of blood donors & blood donor organizations.

CME™s/Seminars “
We regularly conduct CME™s/seminars by inviting prominent Transfusion Medicine Specialists of leading government & private hospitals as speakers. These seminars are conducted for Blood Banks and hospitals in semi-urban towns & rural areas to promote use of blood components. These programs also emphasize on the importance of Quality Management systems & safe transfusion practices for the Blood Banks. Over 85% of the blood is still used as a whole blood which is majorly due to lack of awareness. Our programs create awareness about appropriate utilization of this scarce resource.

Transfusion Connect “
A quarterly educative & informative journal circulated & published by REMI for Blood Banks across India. It gives them a complete update of the latest technological developments in the Blood Banking segment in India and around the world.
